Polly started with a simple frustration: every agency in town was sending the same carrier PDFs, charging similar rates, and hoping prospects would just pick them. There had to be a better way to stand out.
Before building Polly, Jeff Grimm was running an independent insurance agency in Detroit — competing against dozens of other agents quoting the same carriers, offering similar rates, and hoping price alone would win the business.
It didn't take long to realize that wasn't a winning strategy. The agents closing more deals weren't necessarily cheaper — they just looked more professional. Their proposals were polished. Their presentations were memorable. Prospects knew who they were before the first call.
